FIRST DAY: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – CHALLACANCHA – SORAYPAMPA – LAGUNA HUMANTAY
Pick up from your hotel 5 a.m. We will take the bus to Mollepata 2900m/9,500ft. 3 hours trip when we arrive there we will have breakfast (not included) then we will continue 1 hour by bus to Challacancha 3600m/11,800ft. Where is the beginning of the path. The first part will begin to climb for 30 minutes to one water canal from where the path will be slightly flat, we will walk near the water channel where we will see the Humantay 5800m/19050ft. and Salkantay 6250m/20,500ft and beautiful landscapes that surround us, reaching our lunch spot Soraypampa 3900m/12,700ft. Where our chef waits for us with a delicious lunch, after lunch we will start to climb towards one of the most beautiful lagoons located under Humantay Mountain called by the local like Qoyllurcocha or Humantay lagoon 4300m/14,100ft which will take us between 2 and 2:30 hours round trip, where we can appreciate and enjoy this lagoon and then descend to our lunch spot where our camp will be where tea time and our dinner wait for us.

SECOND DAY: SORAYPAMPA – SALKANTAYPAMPA – PAMPA JAPONESA
We start the hike after a delicious breakfast. The first part of the trail will be a little bit uphill 1:30 hour , where we will be able to appreciate parts of the Salkantay and Humantay Mountains. Along the way, we will reach the Salkantaypampa sector 4,100 m/13,450 ft. We will make a little stop to see the majestic Salkantay Mountain at 6,250 m/20,500 ft. From this point, we will change the path to the right, which will lead us along a completely different way.
We will a steeper climb that will take about 3 hours to our lunch spot, Pampa Japonesa at 4,700 m/15,400 ft. After lunch we will go to see the beautiful lagoon located at the lower part of the Salkantay Glacier, which will take us 1 hour round trip, where we will take photos and appreciate the majestic views, then we will return to the lunch point because will be our campsite where we will have free afternoon, tea time and dinner.

THIRD DAY: PAMPA JAPONESA – INCACHIRIASKA PASS – ACOPAMPA – INCA CANAL
After breakfast, we will start our hike toward the Incachiriasca Pass at 4,950 m/16,240 ft. The path will be gradual and steep. Along the way, the Salkantay Glacier will accompany us, protecting our path.
After 1:30 hours, we will reach the highest point of our journey, where we will appreciate the majesty of the Andes mountain range. Once there, we will do a small ceremony in honor of the most important mountains, thanking them for accompanying us until this point. Then, we will begin our descent along a rocky path to our lunch spot Acopampa at 4,300 m/14,100 ft. After lunch, we will continue descending to our camp Inca Canal 3,700 m/12,100 ft.,our camp will be in the entrance of cloud forest, where our tents will be ready, tea time and dinner.

FOURTH DAY: INCA CANAL – PAUCARCANCHA – WAYLLABAMBA – AYAPATA
After breakfast, we will continue our hike, getting to the cloud forest. The path will descend through the valley, following the river. We will appreciate the surrounding mountains and beautiful views. The hike will take approximately 2:30 hours, and we will arrive at the archaeological site of Paucarcancha 3,100 m/10,170 ft.
There, we will be given an explanation of the site and explore, finding terraces, main plazas, religious centers, warehouses, and urban area. After exploring, we will descend and arrive at our lunch spot. After lunch, we will meet with our porters, who will accompany us along the Inca Trail. Together, we will walk toward Huayllabamba 2,900 m/9,514 ft the way takes 40 minutes and then continue our journey to Ayapata 3,300 m/10,826 ft. Which will take us about 1:30 to climb. Where our camp, tea time and dinner will be.

FIFTH DAY: AYAPATA – LLULLUCHAPAMPA – WARMIWAÑUSQA PASS – PACAYMAYO – RUNKURAKAY – SAYACMARCA – CHAQUICOCHA
Our journey will be along the Inca Trail. After breakfast, we will start our hike toward Llulluchapampa 3900m/12,700ft. The trail will be uphill. Part of the way will be stone steps. It will take us about 2 hours, walking through the cloud forest.
Once there, we will take a short break and then continue towards the Dead Woman Pass or Warmiwañusca 4250m/13,950ft. It will take us 2 more hours. From there, we will be able to appreciate a beautiful view of the Andes mountain range. Afterwards, we will begin our descent toward our lunch point, Pacaymayo 3600m/11,800ft. It take us 2 hours. The hike will be in the highlands and then we will descend through the cloud forest too.
After lunch, we will continue toward the Runkurakay Pass 3900m/12,700ft. It will take us 2 more hours an the way will be stone upsteps. Halfway there, we’ll find an archaeological site where we’ll visit.Then, we’ll continue descending for another two hours to our campsite, Chaquicocha, at 3,600 m/11,800 ft., where our camp, tea time, and dinner will be.
DISTANCE: 15KM/10 MILES
TIME: 10 HOURS
SIXTH DAY: CHAQUICOCHA – PHUYUPATAMARCA – INTIPATA – WIÑAYWAYNA
This day, after breakfast, we will begin our hike, 80% along the original Inca Trail, through the cloud forest, reaching the third high point of the Inca Trail, Phuyupatamarca 3,650 m/11,980 ft. From where we will have an incredible view of the Andes Mountains. We will then visit the archaeological site of Phuyupatamarca. From there, we will walk to Winaywayna 2,700 m/8,850 ft. But first, we will pass by the archaeological site of Intipata 2,900 m/9,500 ft. The trail will be all down with stone steps. Once in Wiñaywayna, we will have lunch and will be our campsite. Afterward, we will visit one of the most beautiful archaeological sites along the Inca Trail, located 5 minutes from the camp. After the explanation, you will have a free afternoon to take a rest, then we will have tea time and dinner.

SEVENTH DAY: WIÑAYWAYNA – INTIPUNKU – MACHUPICCHU – AGUAS CALIENTES – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO
On this last day, we will get up very early 3 or 3:30 a.m. to then have breakfast, we will walk to the control there we will wait 1:30 hours in the control of Wiñaywayna, passing the control we will walk for 1:30 hours and we will arrive to Intipunku or Puerta del sol 2,490 m / 8,169 ft.
It is an excellent opportunity to take panoramic pictures of the citadel of Machu Picchu in the distance. This is perhaps the best place and time to contemplate the majestic splendor of Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas.
Then we will descend for 1 hour to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, where we will have a guided tour by our tour guide approximately 2 hours. After the tour you can visit Huayna Picchu (is not included in the tour). Then we will go down by bus to Aguas Calientes 2,160 m / 7,087 ft, where you can enjoy a lunch and take the train back to Ollantaytambo and by bus to Cusco.
